Vision

The company people hand a problem to.

We want to be the first call when something needs to be taken care of, and the last one anyone has to make.

Our vision

Take the problem. Return the outcome.

Our aim is simple to state and hard to do well. When a customer, an administrator or a business partner has something that needs to be handled, we want them to be able to hand it to us with confidence, and to get back a result rather than a list of next steps.

That takes more than good intentions. It takes a structure in which every matter has an owner, every process has a standard, and every relationship is built on terms that both sides understand. It also takes patience. We are building a company meant to be around for a long time, and we would rather earn trust slowly than spend it quickly.

Commitments

Four things we are building toward.

01

One point of contact

Customers and partners should not have to chase a matter across departments or repeat their story to a new person each time. We are building our operation so that one team owns a matter from start to finish, with records good enough that anyone picking it up knows exactly where it stands.

02

A wider network

No single administrator, carrier or supplier fits every customer. We are growing our network of partners, including options that work month to month, so that each customer can be matched with something that fits their situation instead of being fitted to whatever happens to be on the shelf.

03

More than one product

People do not manage their lives one product at a time. The same household has a car, a home, an energy bill and insurance. We are extending into related coverage and services where we can add real value, working with licensed partners wherever a license is required.

04

Growth with discipline

We would rather grow at a pace our operation can support. Compliance, clear communication and partner quality come before volume. A customer who understands what they bought is worth more to us, and to our partners, than a fast sale that comes back as a complaint.

Our position

Structure that lets risk and service sit in the right place.

Our work in reinsurance and program management reflects a simple belief about how these businesses should be built. The organization closest to the customer should be the one that serves them. The organization best capitalized to carry the risk should be the one that carries it. When those roles are aligned, programs perform, partners are paid on time, and customers are treated well. When they are mixed up, someone usually pays for it later.

We build toward that alignment in every relationship we enter, and we look for partners who think about it the same way.

What we will not do

  • We will not pressure a customer into a decision they have not had time to understand.
  • We will not describe a plan as something it is not.
  • We will not hide an obligation, a waiting period or a billing arrangement to close a sale.
  • We will not work with partners who cut corners on the rules that protect customers.

Looking ahead

Over the coming years we expect to add administrators and program partners, deepen our reinsurance work, extend our energy business, and keep investing in the team that looks after customers day to day. If that direction interests you, we would like to hear from you, or you can read the questions we are asked most often.
